Preparing a one-page plan after chart annotation
Annotation without a written plan tends to dissolve by the next session. Here is the template we use.
A marked chart is unfinished work. In the intensive’s final fortnight, every student drafts a one-page plan that a colleague could read without a verbal tour.
The page holds five lines only:
- Market and timeframe under review
- Structural bias in one sentence
- Trigger that would confirm engagement
- Invalidation level that ends the idea
- Review date when the plan must be rewritten or retired
We forbid indicator shopping lists and multi-scenario essays. If the chart cannot support five clear lines, the student returns to annotation rather than padding the plan with hope.
Mentoring clients often email the page twenty-four hours before a session. That habit alone cuts wasted minutes and keeps the conversation on structure.
