Commodity Chart Reading Intensive

Who it is for

The intensive suits active or returning commodity participants who already watch prices but struggle to turn a chart into a clear read. Producers hedging exposure, private traders in metals or energy, and junior desk analysts preparing for more structured mark-ups all fit this room.

It is not an introductory lecture on what a candlestick is. You should know basic chart types and have at least a few months of watching a commodity market, even informally.

Result you work toward

By the final session you should be able to annotate a continuous contract chart with swing structure, mark credible support and resistance, note volume or open-interest confirmation where available, and leave with a one-page trade plan that states invalidation clearly.

What is included

• Twelve guided sessions of roughly ninety minutes each
• Pre-session chart packs for wheat, crude, copper, or another market you nominate
• Annotated homework reviewed with written margin notes
• A short library of historical case charts from Australian and global commodity boards
• Closing review of three of your own live charts

What is excluded

Broker execution, managed accounts, automated signal alerts, and tax or compliance advice sit outside the intensive. We do not provide buy or sell recommendations for live positions.

Provider and delivery

Sessions are led by the Edgecomputepro tutoring desk from 3 Barnett Street, Detention, Tasmania. Private cohorts meet by video; occasional small-group intensives are held in the Detention studio when travel and room capacity allow.

Process

1. Enquiry and short placement call to confirm market focus and schedule
2. Week one–two: structure, swings, and trend definition on continuous contracts
3. Week three–four: volume, open interest, and false break behaviour
4. Week five–six: trade planning, invalidation, and personal chart review

Preparation

Bring charts from the markets you actually trade or hedge. A quiet desk, a printed weekly chart if possible, and willingness to mark by hand during the first fortnight make the sessions more productive.

Constraints

Cohorts stay at four participants or fewer for in-person weeks. Private video intensives are scheduled on Australian business days; evening slots are limited. Places are confirmed only after fee payment and signed tuition terms.
